NATURAL DYES, snorkling AND KELIMUTU LAKES hiking

6 DAYS PROGRAM

This program starts in Maumere, Flores. We can meet in Bali at the domestic airport or directly in Maumere if your previous travels through Indonesia took you to this place already. We will base ourselves 4 nights in Maumere, in a beach font resort built with our favorite sustainable material: bamboo.  Then, we will go explore 1 night in ENDE region, to visit the clear blue Kelimutu lakes at sunrise.
Our days will be articulated around the main workshop activity organized in the village with local communities of weavers: 2 full days of natural dyes workshop, exploring the various endemic colors and weaving techniques. During our free time, we will be able to explore villages and traditional architecture, enjoy preserved nature sceneries, snorkel in clear waters and enjoy beach sunsets…

What's included

The unique opportunity to be able to support, learn and exchange with weavers from a remote island of Indonesia, who have mostly never left their villages.
A welcome handwoven gift basket from the island of Flores with naturally dyed threads and a handmade bracelet, 1 meter of silk and 1 meter of cotton to dye during your experimentations and a custom made notebook and dye journal to bring home!
5 nights accommodation, breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
All workshops and materials, adventures and tours.
Traditional lunches, afternoon tea, fruits and snacks will be provided during the workshops.
One massage per person to be organized during the stay.
