OUR PROGRAM
We will start our journey from Denpasar domestic airport, flying to LABUAN BAJO (West Flores) for the first 4 nights of our retreat, in the paradisiac island resort Seraya hotel. During these 4 days, we will enjoy the hotel’s white sand beach, clear blue waters, kayaking and paddling boards.
Natalie Miller @nataliemillerdesigns will be teaching every day tapestry weaving on large looms with her hand dyed colorful wools.
On the 5th day, we will fly out to ENDE, where we will spend the night, in order to wake up and enjoy the sunrise over the famous three colored Kelimutu Lakes. After our breakfast and morning nap, we will drive north towards MAUMERE, our final destination.
The second part of the retreat, will bring us closer to the local communities, their way of life and ancestral techniques. Our days will be articulated around the Natural dye workshops and Ikat weaving demonstrations organized in the village with local communities of weavers, exploring the various endemic colors and weaving techniques. During our free time, we will be able to explore villages and traditional architecture, enjoy preserved nature sceneries, snorkel in clear waters and enjoy beach sunsets…
